A matching arm and receiving catch for a door

A two-piece door holder with a pivoting arm and a receiving catch. Position the pieces so the arm meets the catch when the door is in the intended position. The original photographs show the arm raised, lowered and separated from the receiver.

These are part dimensions, not fixing-hole centres. Confirm engagement and clearance with the actual door.

Positioning and installation

  1. Choose the intended door position and check the clearance between the moving door and fixed mounting surface.
  2. Hold both pieces in place and confirm that the pivoting arm can engage and release without twisting.
  3. Mark the fixing positions from the actual pieces. Use fixings suitable for the panel construction and check behind the mounting points before drilling.
  4. Operate the door through its full travel before use. Release the holder before closing the door; use a suitable travel latch to retain a door during vehicle movement.
