An ABS door retainer comprising an elongated mounting arm and a rounded receiving catch. Use the matching pieces to hold a compatible door in its parked position. Black and white options are available.

Compare the two mounting surfaces and engagement positions. The slot annotation does not specify a vehicle compatibility range.

Installation and use

  1. Open the door to the intended parked position and hold the arm and receiver against the proposed mounting surfaces.
  2. Check that the parts engage without forcing the door, stressing the hinges or bending the retainer.
  3. Mark the actual fixing positions and use suitable panel fixings. Check behind both mounting surfaces before drilling.
  4. Disengage the retainer before closing the door or moving the vehicle. Do not rely on it as a rated restraint in wind.
